Job description:
Interprets work requests and determine work scope & technical specifications through liaison with stakeholders and Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Determines resources required to execute the work, i.e., material, spares, labour, services and equipment. Prepares specifications for contract work.
Acquires the resources necessary for executing the work by preparing and justifying the necessary purchase, service and labour requests.
Compiles work execution sequence diagrams taking into account job durations, manpower required and interrelationship of activities, to ensure optimum and safe execution of work.
Tracks and reports labour performance indicators as required for departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Plans and manages the level of labour resources to ensure optimal backlogs.
Follows and promotes safe work practices. This includes plant walkabouts and relevant Loss Prevention System (LPS) processes.
Trains and mentors less experienced co-workers in planning processes and utilization of planning tools.
